Do You Know How to Identify Problems in Listening

 By: TOEFL consultant

Three points students must know before their take listening test on the TOEF iBT consist details, yes-no, and connections problems.

1.      Details problems
You have to answer a question about specific points the speakers are mainly about. In general, it includes some characteristics of the models or the topics discussed. And, they have to choose two or three points among five choices of the answers given.

2.      Yes-no problems
You have to choose whether sentences are true or false according to information the speakers mean. Here, you must click all the answers in the “yes” or “no” box for each statement.

3.      Connections problems
This problem asks you to get ideas or information the speakers mean. You have to identify whether choices with categories, several lists of events, or steps in a presented process in the statement match with the category, event, or process in the conversation.
