Writing The Body Part in An Essay

How to make an essay speak? The body part plays the important role. It supports the topic sentence containing general statements and thesis statements in an introductory part of the essay.


The body itself usually contains 3-5 topic sentences. Each sentence consists of 3 supporting sentences to give sufficient concrete details. Besides, it has concluding sentences in each paragraph.

In addition, to connect between paragraphs, transition words are important. For example, transitions followed by words like “one way” or “another way,” transitions introducing phrases like the word “instead of,” “because of,” or “in addition to,” and transitions taking place before clauses like “although” or “though” make the paragraphs in unity.
