Steps to Success in the TOEFL

There are some interesting steps to be a successful student before taking the TOEFL Test.

1.      Find more information about the test.

Moreover, it is helpful for you to visit the TOEFL web site at www.ets.org/toefl to download a copy of the TOEFL Information and Registration Bulletin. In other words, the students can know what their expectations are.

2.      List time’s schedule in your study plan.

The students have to be realistic persons. It will be very nice if they arrange schedules containing two hours every day for four months than twelve hours every day for forty days. Don’t forget that you have to be a discipline person.

3.      Increase study habits.

Good habits will help you to succeed on the TOEFL and after it when you are admitted to university you apply, or when you keep continuing your professional training to get your licenses current.

4.      Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses in quadrant boxes.

It will be helpful for you to know whether part of sections is easier. In addition, you can make columns checking the section where your strength and weakness exist.

5.      Practice academic skills.

Students have to know how to get high scores by reading the strategies, complete the practice activities, and check the answer again.

6.      Improve English knowledge.

Identify strategies for the language skills comprising of reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Also, it is a good idea for you to take the quizzes and check your answers.

7.      Understand the directions for problems.

Before starting to work the test, the students occasionally know the directions of each problem by understanding them.

8.      Check your progress.

After taking the test, you have to check how far you get the score.

9.      Take a model test on the official TOEFL.

It is true that the experience is a good teacher. Thus, don’t be afraid to follow the test. Moreover, you having an opportunity to take at least one model will get your significant score on the official TOEFL test.

10. Estimate your score on the model test.

It is necessary that the students have a teacher or a reliable grader to evaluate their speaking and writing sections because of factors into the total score.

11. Keep a positive mindset.

12. Take the final test on the TOEFL.

The students have to reconsider their registration date if their scores are below the minimum standard that they should get.
