Summarizing Skills: The Easy Way to Avoid Plagiarizing

Students can employ one of types of how to avoid plagiarizing. This is called summarizing which expresses an idea that the original covers. As a result, the point is the main idea instead of all the information it states. Besides, it has to be a shorter form than the original because students must figure the only main idea out. 

Students usually make some mistakes in applying the disregarded points below.

1.      Students employ the different organization as the original uses.

If the passage classifies four distinguished personalities for every human, they do not sum the four things up.

2.      Students disregard the rules expressing the emphasized original.

If the passage covers all the four personalities, but it perhaps focuses on the perfectionist ones, for example, of the person. In this case, the summary is not same with the points by dedicating the focus of the other personality such as melancholy.

3.      Students do not keep a neutral position in summarizing.

The summary does present a new idea or new commentary. It also concludes three main ideas of the personality or less.
